Frenkie de Jong took over following the historic 8-2 defeat at Bayern Munich, not to mince words. The midfielder of FC Barcelona, was himself broke, and for the game of the Catalans, and called on the board of directors of the club to take action.
“This competition has shown that we have a lot of problems in the team. It’s hard for me to accept, that there will be a lot of change,” said the 22-year-old midfielder, following the end of the defeat against the Spanish and German media.
“We also need to apologize to the fans, so for this I want to say I’m sorry to them as well. How do we play, which is a shame for a club like Barcelona.”
