Newcastle United is not in the hands of a consortium from the United arab Emirates. After months of uncertainty, the group of investors on Thursday decided to withdraw it.
The Saudi arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) was months ago and already has a bid lodged by the Premier League and around 80 per cent of the shares in Newcastle United, with a capacity of 300 million pounds (330 million euros), taking over from Mike Ashley.
The Premier League had to offer approval, but a decision had to be seen, what is now, and has led to the fact that the MEAN of the bid, to withdraw, and Newcastle will not be one of the richest clubs in the world.
