Roger Schmidt hopes to be down this coming season is to compete for the prizes. The 53-year-old German trainer, which led Monday’s first training session with the team in charge of last season’s disappointing fourth-place when the League was shut down.
Shortly after the first training session was given to Schmidt directly to the question of whether he thinks he is a champion with PSV. “That’s a bit early to say this, because this is only my first day. First I want to get a good picture of the group before, and I have a goal to go, to formulate,” he said.
Schmidt’s has been successful with Red Bull Salzburg, Bayer Leverkusen, before 2017, to the Chinese, to Beijing Sinobo Guoan in the county. For the past six years, he was without a club.
“I’ve had a few month break was taken, and then I didn’t want to necessarily go to the best in the league, but the league, which is good for me,” he explained. “I’ve had the a very interesting country and the PSV is well-known in Germany. Here, it is attacking football, and have a lot of young players that you can use to help in their development.”
