Burnley has a small group of fans identified that Monday had been responsible for the plane with the message that “White Lives Matter ‘Burnley’ above the City of Manchester stadium in the sky. The fans are never allowed in the stadium.
The body of the text and the plane is as hurtful experience, as it is to some people Black Lives Matter and dismiss. The board of directors, the staff, and the players quickly took away from the message of the small group of fans around the world.
“We know who We are, and they will never be welcome. I was disgusted when I got to the plane I saw. That is the right word. I was ashamed of myself, really,” says the Burnley chairman, Neil Hart on Wednesday against the Sky.
