Paul Verhaegh is believed that he was to be his last game as a pro to play. The three Dutch international, whose contract at FC Twente this summer and are about to expire, is looking for a new club.
“It’s 99 per cent sure that I will stop. I think that I can look back on a wonderful career,” said Verhaegh on Friday against the Pensions.
The 36-year-old defender has played for AGOVV Apeldoorn, FC Den Bosch and Vitesse, and had then been the best of years in Germany with FC Augsburg and VfL Wolfsburg.
