A lot of museums will offer ways to bring their collections with people in their homes to share with you. The Broad in Los Angeles that will be the name of #THEBROADFROMHOME. Their latest project is the combination of the work of Yayoi Kusama, with the ambient music.
The work in question is called Infinity Mirrored Room — The Souls of Millions of Light-Years away. This work is from 2013 and is a classic example of a modern day infinity room by Kusama. The visitor can get to the inside of a room with mirrors on the walls, and the flashing of lights in the room. After a few seconds, and you will feel like you’re in an infinite space in which time seems to have disappeared.
Unfortunately, you, as a visitor, don’t really have the time to get to you for a long time, this unique world to explore. Last year, it was a similar room to look at Voorlinden, and some of them were because of the popularity, but it is very short inside. We don’t have to be in The Flow, but you can imagine that it’s not the first one.
The Emerging-from-Home can be digital, as long as you like. The museum has a number of videos have been taken from the work of art, and then music is added to it. In particular, the combination of the serenity of the light in the room and the music as ambient drone is to do it very, very well. Below is a selection of three videos. On the YouTube page of the museum, there are a total of eight.
It is great to have such videos on your television with the high-volume and low-light conditions in the room. An Infinity Room of Yayoi Kusama a visit is a unique experience that is difficult to replicate, but it is very good to have around.
