SC Cambuur and De Graafschap look to the lost in action against the Dutch fa (KNVB) as a devastating event. The court instructed the football association on Thursday for a meeting in Utrecht, and in all respects the same, giving the club promotion to the Premier league, as well as be able to forget it.
“It’s kind of a big disappointment,” says managing director Hans Martijn Ostendorp at NU.nl. “The blow was hard, especially financially. This is going to be about a difference of millions of dollars. I do feel, however, taken very seriously by the courts, but it was clean and tidy when we have the approval of the BOARD would have been.”
Cambuur and De Graafschap took it to court, because the Dutch fa (KNVB) at the end of the abandoned Premier league season as the number one and two in the Kitchen Champion of a Division did not graduate. The clubs were particularly upset that the board of directors of the BOARD, a written survey, in which sixteen of the 34 clubs in a promotion/relegation agreed on principle with the decision.
