Ricardo van Rhijn is departing after one season at Heerenveen, reports in the Frisian club on Wednesday. The expiring contract, the defender will not be renewed.
The 28-year-old Van Rhijn came out last summer press conference about the a-Z, and played this season in nineteen matches in the Premier league for Heerenveen. Also, he came up with four matches in to the cup.
“We’ll have the summer together in a very deliberate choice to have a one-year contract. This year we have held several meetings and made the decision to go after this season and don’t have to go through,” said Gerry Hamstra, technical manager of Heerenveen, the netherlands.
