The winners last Friday, a total amount of 150 million dollars (almost € 139 million) will be transferred into the 211 affiliated national federations. This is the wereldvoetbalbond in the country during the coronacrisis.

“As the pandemic causes unprecedented challenges to the entire voetbalgemeenschap and wereldvoetbalbond, it is the responsibility of the winners to be the ones to support those that are acutely in need”, says the FIFA president Gianni Infantino on the website of the association.

“This process begins with the provision of short-term financial assistance to our affiliated unions, many of which are in serious financial difficulties. This is the first step in a comprehensive financial plan that we developed in order to respond to the situation.”
