The belarusian football federation, it is still not going to get the competition shut down because of the corona virus. The secretary-general’s Zhardetski is that the situation in the country is not serious enough to take such a measure.
“We are watching the situation every day,” said Zhardetski in a conversation with ESPN. “We rely heavily on our public health authorities, and therefore at the moment no grounds for the league to stop it.”
The belarusian league is the only league in Europe that has not been shut down due to the corona virus. That seems to be mainly due to the stance of president Alexander Lukashenko, who is the COVID-19-the virus does not take it seriously.
