Pape Diouf, the former president of the Olympique Marseille on Tuesday at the age of 68 passed away. The Senegalese had been infected with the feline corona virus and had since been in hospital in his home country.
“With much sadness that we have learned of the death of Pape. He will always be in our hearts will live on as one of the greatest professionals in the history of the club, wrote, ” the Olympic Marseille in Tuesday night on Twitter.
Diouf was established in 2005 by the French club, has been appointed as the chairman and served in that role until the summer of 2009. Prior to his position at Marseille, and as the driver started to work, he worked for Diouf as a sports journalist.
