It’s been strange at times. Usually had a visitor in a Museum, the beach and Sea can be enjoyed from the exhibition, with works by Germaine Richier. Now the museum is empty and has been for the art alone.
It remains to be seen what visitors are welcome at the museum. In the meantime, try the museum (as well as all of the other museums to be creative, from online art to share with you. In the case of Images of the Sea, they can do so with a great video in which several forms of art are very beautiful together. The video was made by a Studio Gerrit Schreurs.
You can see an opera singer: Francis van Broekhuizen, between the works of Richier, while the aria, Vissi d’arte from the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, singing. The aria opens up quite nicely with the phrase, “Vissi d’arte, vissi d’amore” which translates as “I lived for art, I lived for love“. Love and art are the two things that we’re very, very good to be able to use it.
Listen to the music, following the translation of the text, the captions, and you can also find the art that you are looking at. And let’s hope we can again soon in the real museum to visit.
