Coach Sarina Wiegman, the Oranjevrouwen there has been a lot of understanding for the Olympic Games in the summer, to be set up. The English vrouwenelftal in Japan, Tokyo, for the first time to participate in the biggest sporting event in the world.

“Everything in the world is going on, it’s not now, it’s time to get over disappointments or setbacks to speak of,” says Wiegman on Tuesday, in a press release, the Dutch fa (KNVB). “The coronacrisis is everyone’s concern, and it deserves our attention and energy. And I speak not only for myself, I do know that the theatre group there too.”

However, the Olympics should be a celebration for the athletes, fans and sports lovers all over the world. And that it would be at this moment certainly not have been an issue.”
