Up to and including February 5, 2020 in the ‘Gashouder’ in Amsterdam, pay a visit to the impressive SKALAR. This is a huge installation, by light artist Christopher Bauder and musician Kangding Ray.
SKALAR will fill the entire space of the Gasometer, with lights, reflections, and music. Moving the mirrors that are hanging in the space that is displayed streaks of colored light patterns that are appropriate at the time. As a visitor you can sit, stand, lie down or walk around. Slowly, but surely, you will get the feeling to be one with the SKALAR is a unique experience.
The Live show
In 2018, was the SKALAR is to see in Berlin, it was a great success. With the help of a co-operation between Berlin’s design and art studio WHITEvoid, the Amsterdam music promotors, Audio Obscura, and Westergas, Duncan Stutterheim, the setup is now in the Amsterdam pub. You can use every day in more than a century old, the Gasometer, but if you really want to show, then you will need to buy tickets for the live shows.
On weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are Bauder, and Ray was at the controls for one and a half a long time SKALAR even more to do. On all other days and times can be of the Gasholder to visit, and just as long, SKALAR, if you want to be. The entrance is free of charge for all live shows you can buy tickets online.
