Winston Gerschtanowitz, the great-grandson of the Uk’s founder, Herman Gerschtanowitz, the famous Amsterdam cinema, like to be in his possession. The family was in the theater, and after the Second world War and lost, but as the presenter it would be a family-owned want to make.
“I’d be in the cinema and would love to have,” says Gerschtanowitz, in a conversation with a Dutch edition of Playboy magazine. “The family has been all over the world, unfortunately, lost, but, as I have, as well, to do that, financially, it is possible to buy it back, then I’m going to do everything in order to be able to make it.”
The Dancing on Icepresenter remains in Uk in a special place. “I’m drinking at home, by the way, always with a wine from the crystal glasses from the 1920s. Isn’t that strange? The entire family is eating well, still on Uk plates. Those are almost a century old.”
