The players and staff of the Orange is under 17 years of age, sitting in sackcloth and ashes, after missing out on the world cup final. The team’s coach, Peter van der Veen, and lost, Thursday night in Brazil after a penalty shoot-out in Mexico.

The netherlands came out in the second half, and still have gained a competitive edge by Youri Rule, but Mexico pulled off the stand in the 79th minute of the same. In the deciding penalty shoot-out, missing the Orange’s three penalties, and that there had been too much for the runner up.

“I try to give the players as much as possible, to be comforted, and that I will be in the dressing room, certainly do it. That they deserve,” said a disappointed head coach, Van der Veen, immediately after the termination at the NOS. “It’s just a matter of crying out and trying to bring the focus back to them.”
