Dylan van Baarle and van Emden, were hoping Wednesday for a place in the top ten in the world CHAMPIONSHIP time trial, but the Dutch riders came in, in Yorkshire no further than the fifteenth, sixteenth, and 21st place.
“The feeling was good as it was during my time trial,” said Van Baarle. “I’m well-organized, and was able to finish the full tank to drive. So, I think I have everything taken out of it, but it didn’t work fast enough. The clock doesn’t lie. I still need to analyze that with my coach, but I have to be me I’m holding on to my joy.”
In the first stage, the Team may maintain an action for his first appearance in the world CHAMPIONSHIP time trial, 1 hour, 8 minutes and 41 seconds, about 54 km from Northallerton to Harrogate. It would have been 3.37 mins slower than the Australian, Rohan Dennis, who is in the world title win.
