The former UEFA-president Lennart Johansson, is 89 years of age passed away. The Swede had a short time to be sick.
Johansson rose between 1990 and 2007, the head of the European football association. It is seen as a key man behind the creation of the uefa Champions League in 1992, and it was in the beginning of 2007, to be succeeded by Michel Platini.
After his departure, as the new UEFA president, was Johansson to become an honorary chairman for the association. Additionally, he served as vice-president of the wereldvoetbalbond of FIFA and the president of the Swedish AI.
