More than 1,600 children of asylum seekers disappeared from refugee centres in the Netherlands

There are over the last 4.5 years more than 1,600 children of asylum seekers walked out of the reception centres in the Netherlands. The children are ’with unknown destination’ on the left and it is not clear where they now reside.

This is evident from the figures that the Dutch newspaper NRC opvroeg by the Central agency for the reception of asylum Seekers and Nidos, the guardianship of all unaccompanied minor aliens in the Netherlands. The numbers are according to the newspaper higher than currently known, because the figures of Nidos were previously not included.
