Tom Saintfiet has his contract as coach of the Gambia extended by two years, so made the Gambian football federation Friday announced. Our 46-year-old compatriot now has a commitment to mid-2021.
Saintfiet is only since last summer in the Gambia to get started and signed at the time a contract of short duration. Despite missing the qualification for the Africa Cup if our fellow countryman, however, extend in the Gambia. Tom Saintfiet coached already to a number of national teams, especially in Africa. He stood at the helm of the Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Yemen, Malawi, Togo, Bangladesh, and Trinidad and Tobago. At the end of april last year he was after more than half a year redundancies in Malta.
