Ott Tänak (Toyota Yaris WRC) continues Saturday, halfway through the second match day to lead the Rally of Portugal. But the Est feels the pressure of team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota Yaris WRC), who came up in 5.1 seconds. Kris Meeke (Toyota Yaris WRC) is still third, but his two teammates tentatively let go. Meeke follows in 18.1 seconds of the leader Tänak. Thierry Neuville is still fourth, and follows on 23.7.

Neuville’s team-mates Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC) and Sébastien Loeb (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC) were located Saturday morning to late on at the start of, respectively, the eighth and tenth stage, so they after Sébastien Ogier (Citroen C3 WRC), and for their team-mate Thierry Neuville started.

The tactical game of Hyundai Motorsport is the most important achievement of Saturday mornings. At the start of the first klassementsrit of the day offered Dani Sordo to let on at the start. Sébastien Loeb did the same for the 37.8-km-long klassementsrit of Amarante. The fact that negenvoudig world champion Loeb this tactic follows shows how important he is and Hyundai the merkentitel. At the arrival of the ninth stage responded world champion Ogier, previously left on the event. “Now, he (Neuville, red) later. It begins to play a greater role to play.”

Thierry Neuville dodged then the question of how he responded to the aid of his teammates. “I had a good morning, though it was the choice to be a second spare wheel to draw in hindsight not the best. That extra weight has me somewhat disadvantaged. There is again four minutes between each rider. That is the minimum requirement, but it is doable.” Saturday morning was the gap three minutes, but at the request of the riders were again four minutes.

The Toyota-riders remain in the meantime, the rally to dominate, though it was not always run smoothly. Leader Tänak lost in the opening stage of the day nine seconds when a remprobleem appeared. On the way to the next klassementsrit could the Est to resolve the problem. Latvala was the man of Saturday mornings. The Fin won two of the three klassementsritten and is approached to 5.1 seconds of his team-mate. Just like when Hyundai will undoubtedly also at Toyota the strategy for Saturday afternoon to discuss. Then the same loop of three klassementsritten as this morning driven. The Rally of Portugal ends on Sunday.
