“Media house”, and the DPG Media (the new name of The School) go to their activities within the Belgian job and recruiting market (in particular, Jobat.be and Vacature.com) creation of a new joint venture.
The sworn competitors “media house”, (publisher of, among others, De Standaard, het Nieuwsblad, het belang van Limburg and Gazet van Antwerpen) and DPG Media (The Latest News, De Morgen, Humo…) go together. In a joint venture, they want their job advertisements, with particular Jobat.be and Vacature.com, together.
The official communication says: ‘Jobat.be and Vacature.com will put together the largest range and offer a unique and quality proposition in the direction of employers in the market. They will also continue to make use of the strong nieuwsmerken, in print and online, of “media house”, and the DPG Media, and also bet on their successful job-events.’
The reason for the collaboration is clear.
The job and recruitment market has long been no case of newspapers alone. A far-reaching digital transformation, and the fact that large international platforms are increasingly on the recruitment market car, it means that the existing channels are under pressure. And so the need to join forces.
