Monday used to print the popular Bild the Jewish hat on the front page, out of solidarity with the Jewish society. That happened as a result of the blatant anti-semitism in Germany, and a statement about the safety of German Jews.
It started at the German president of the Jewish community Felix Klein. Who made the comment that he ‘Jews not advised to the keppeltje always and everywhere in Germany to wear’. Julian Reichelt, editor at Bild, rejected the statement: ‘that Had to be the case – and had to remain so –, then we have failed in our own history.”
Reichelt put the message of the newspaper also force on Twitter. “Even if a person in our country, the kipa can’t wear it without risk to yourself, may be the only answer to that is that we are all the kipa wearing’, it sounds.
Between 2017 and 2018, the number of anti-semitic hate crime, according to Home Affairs with twenty percent. Minister Horst Seehofer declared that 90 percent of these incidents have their origin in extreme-right militias.
The extreme right-wing party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) received on may 26, eleven seats in the European Parliament. AfD had already been repeatedly accused of some of the fascist symptoms.
