The Slovenian Tim Gajser (Honda) after the first series of the second series won the Grand prix of France in the MXGP, the seventh of eighteen world CHAMPIONSHIP races. In the MX2 grip Jago Geerts just next to his first GP victory.

By the gain in Saint-Jean d’Angely Tim Gajser also in the world CHAMPIONSHIP is a good thing, but 10 points of the Italian Antonio Cairoli (KTM). The Sicilian was 7th. Clément Desalle (Kawasaki) ended up 4th on the GP, Julien Lieber (Kawasaki) 6th, Jeremy Van Horebeek (Honda), 11th and Kevin Strijbos (Yamaha) 14th.

In the world CHAMPIONSHIP is Off still in the lead with 311 points, followed by Gajser that 301 points counts. Clément Desalle is at the 4th place with 208 points, Jeremy Van Horebeek is 8th (156 pts), Julien Lieber 10th (141 pts) and Kevin Strijbos 23 (29 pts).

In the MX2 came Jago Geerts (Yamaha) is close to the profit. He won the first set for the Spaniard Jorge Prado (KTM) and was second after the same Prado in the second series. The second series of counts, however, the hardest and so was the victory for reigning world champion Prado. Earnings in the first series was the first victory in the MX2 for the 19-year-old Belgian, who is in his second season is in progress.

Prado also retains his leadership position in the world cup standings with 297 points, followed by the Dane Thomas Kjer Olsen (Husqvarna) with 283 points and Jago Geerts with 217 points.

The next Grand prix will take place on 9 June in Russia.(belga)
