Near the Colosseum in Rome, archaeologists have found the head of a statue of an ancient Roman goddess found.
It is a white, marble statue and according to the mayor of the Italian capital, Virginia Raggi, the head well-kept. The statue dates from the beginning of our era, sometime between the first century Bc and the fourth century after.
The archaeologists found the head in the Via Alessandrina, a street that runs parallel with the Via dei Fori Imperiali, the street leading to the Coliseum. It is, according to them, the head of a goddess.
