After thirty-five years of returns, the Formula 1 will return to Zandvoort for the GP of the Netherlands and is also the mayor proud, that he says, as opposed to ‘RTL GP.’

Mayor Niek Meijer is proud to say that he had in the beginning some doubts but these disappeared during the course of the negotiations, and then he realized that something wonderful was blooming.
It may, however, be sure that the GP of next year, the Netherlands will continue in Zandvoort, but it is not all moonlight and roses. The limited infrastructure and a lack of parking are issues that urgently need to be addressed.
Meijer hopes that the fans take their responsibility and make their contribution by with the bike to the circuit.
“I hope, and we also expect, that the Netherlands as a cycling pre-eminently, about ten to fifteen thousand spectators on the bike can get,” says Meijer.
“Amsterdam? That is within biking distance. Come on, what are we talking about? An electric bicycle or not, we will in any case bet on as many charging stations here, so the temptation is (to the bike). That kind of things, here we go now, hard to get to work.”
