The Dutch police near the Belgian border, a large-scale action taken against the Albanian drug gangs. Fifteen people have been arrested.
In the action its Tuesday launched raids in dozens of homes and business premises in Geleen and surroundings. Research shows that especially persons of Albanian origin in these large-scale hemp cultivation are involved.
The linchpin in the case is a company in Geleen that deals with voertuigenhandel. The company facilitates the Albanian criminals, says the police.
Three of the directors of the company have been arrested. The two 40-year-old men and a woman of 36 years old who live in Belgium. There was also a 34-year-old man of Albanian origin from Geleen arrested. The raids are another eleven people were arrested. In addition, money, cars and false identity documents were seized.
