Rafael Benítez is not going to Liverpool to help in the long battle in the Premier League. The manager plays with Newcastle United on Saturday in a crucial game against his old club.
“My relationship with the club Liverpool and their supporters is very good. I have spent six years and won lots of awards,” said Benítez at the press conference for the contest. “But we are professionals and will do our work.”
The 59-year-old Spaniard had been Liverpool between 2004 and 2010, under his wing. He led the club in 2005 to win the Champions League and captured the FA Cup, the Community Shield and the European Super Cup.
