Lotto Soudal wanted Bjorg Lambrecht tomorrow/Wednesday to play as leader in Eschborn-Frankfurt (WorldTour) but the 22-year-old climbing talent, who recently topnoteringen got in o.a. Brabantse pijl, Amstel Gold Race and Flèche wallonne, need to drop out due to illness.
“For us it is very sad that Bjorg Lambrecht unable to attend due to illness. He was, in theory, our leader,” says sports director Bart Leysen. “Our goal remains, however, to have a good result. According to me, Tomasz Marczynski a beautiful performance. I expect he can survive in a selective group.”
“Adam Hansen is the first race after his crash in the Tour of the Basque country. He is preparing for the Giro”, Leysen further. “This is also true for Roger Kluge, who as a German in the finals should be present. I saw him every day to be better at the Tour of Turkey.
