The English Football League (EFL) has decided to make the match between Bolton Wanderers and Brentford on Saturday in the Championship. That decision follows a threatened boycott by the players of Bolton, who no longer want to play until they get their overdue salary.
“By these disappointing developments, we see us forced to the competition”, writes the EFL in a statement. “The competition is anyway at a later time caught up. Bolton should be in there as soon as possible preparations for a strike.”
The players of Bolton to have their salary on march still not received. It is not the first time that the payment of the monthly wages are delayed, for in February that was already the case. The selection decided at the beginning of april already 48 hours not to train to protest against the way things are going.
