Manchester City did Wednesday night excellent business in the long battle, by fellow-townsman, and rival United to defeat, but Josep Guardiola remains sober. The Spaniard stressed that his players in the last matches of the season fully focused.
“This is precisely the moment to stay calm,” said Guardiola after the 0-2 victory of his team at Old Trafford. “That’s what I told my players said. Save Thursday, not the newspaper open, put the tv on and don’t listen to the radio. We are still no champion.”
The match against United was seen as a major hurdle for the City on the way to the championship and the ‘Citizens’ knew, that without too many problems. Bernardo Silva signed in the 54th minute for the 0-1 and Leroy Sané made ten minutes later for the decision in Manchester.
