The American member of parliament Ilhan Omar receives death threats after president Donald Trump a video tweette which he accuses of minimizing the attacks of september 11, 2001.
“Since the tweet of the president Friday night, I have more direct death threats experienced. Many of these are direct references to, or reply to the video of the president’, says member of parliament Ilhan Omar on Twitter.
Omar: ‘Violent crimes and hate crimes of right-wing extremists and white nationalists, in this country and in the world. We can no longer ignore that they will be encouraged by a person to the highest office of the country holds.’

Trump tweette Friday, a video of Omar who is making a speech about the negative climate towards muslims that arose after the attacks of 2001. Her statements are images assembled from the World Trade Center that is on fire. “We will never forget’, tweette Trump in block letters.
Somalia fled
Omar fled together with her family, the civil war in Somalia when she was eight years old. Last year she became one of the first two muslim women in the Congress.
Other Democratic members of parliament, including presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, defended Omar al. She accused Trump of the spread of violence and incitement to hatred.
