The name Emma Corrin does not immediately ring a bell, but in the fourth season of the Netflix series ‘The crown’ takes the role of Lady Diana Spencer. The pictures go this year, had yet to start.
Corrin, herself a fan of the first hour of the series that the life of the British Queen Elizabeth II follows, feels honoured. ‘Princess Diana was an icon and her impact on the world remains deep and inspiring,” she says.
“Emma not only has the innocence and beauty of a young Diana, she also has the range and complexity abound to an extraordinary woman like Diana to put down,” explains The crown-creator Peter Morgan are surprising choice.
Later this year comes the third season on Netflix, in which a jump is made to the years 1964-1970. Season four is scheduled for 2020 and is about at the end of years 1980 to 1990, in which the marriage with Charles in ruins and with the policies of Margaret Tatcher.
