Ott Tänak is halfway through the second match day to lead the Rally Sweden, the second round in the world championship. The Est won the wed night rides . Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC) was fourth in 6 seconds, with in his wake, Sébastien Ogier (Citroen C3 WRC).
It was a quiet morning for the toppers. Sébastien Ogier had to as a world CHAMPIONSHIP leader first on the road, followed by Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak. The disadvantage to the first job to have, was somewhat limited because in the first stage, no fresh snow on the road was. That was the case in the second ride of the day and a bit in the third stage. Ogier is after the first round, fifth on 14.4 of leader Tänak. “It was not a bad morning. I am satisfied. The second passage is a suit more difficult,” said the Frenchman.
Neuville had Friday morning the management has to give it to Tänak, who won two stages. Neuville drove two times the third time. He follows as the fourth, just 6 seconds of Tänak. “In the first race I could drive faster, but it can be treacherous to quickly go,” said Neuville. “In the second race I pushed more. On the last ride of this morning I am not satisfied. The road was very bumpy and the car jumped like a kangaroo. This afternoon is very heavy. In some places, came up the gravel now because of the snow.”
Neuville keeps the pressure on leader Tänak. What is surprising is the second place of Suninen. The young Fin crashed in the first stage of the Rally of Monte Carlo, but shows in Sweden, his talent. The jubilerende Latvala, 197 wrc rally’s on the counter, and therefore the most experienced rally driver in the world cup ever, it implants itself in the front third.
Sébastien Loeb was with a lot of doubts in the first stage, which he is not freed could drive. The Frenchman is on the ninth place.
Marcus Grönholm (Toyota Yaris WRC) polite is not much fun at his one-off comeback. The finn spun off in the first and second stage and then from the track to go in the third ride. His working day seems to be already there on which to sit.
Friday afternoon, the same three stages as in the morning driven. The Rally Sweden ends Sunday afternoon with the powerstage.
