Childish Gambino, the musical alter ego of American comedian Donald Glover, and the American singer Lady Gaga have the most awards at the awards ceremony of the 61st Grammy Awards. That took place yesterday in Los Angeles. The American rapper Kendrick Lamar made his role not true.
Childish Gambino won three awards. He won the prize for Best Song, Best Record and Best Collaboration for a rap number for the protestsong “This Is America”. Lady Gaga won in the categories of Best Solo Performance (“Joanne”), Best Duo/Group Performance, along with Bradley Cooper(“Shallow”). “Shallow”, the song written for the film “A Star Is Born”, also won the award for Best Song written for Visual Media.
The 23-year-old British singer Dua Lipa was elected as Revelation of the Year. Album of the Year went to “Golden Hour” of the American country singer Kacey Musgraves. Other winners include Ariana Grande (Best Pop Vocal Album for “Sweetener”), Drake (Best rap number for “God’s Plan”), Cardi B (Best Rapalbum for “Invasion of Privacy”) and Arctic Monkeys (Best Alternative Music Album for “Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino”).
Favorite Kendrick Lamar was only one of his eight nominations cashing, but also not quite. He had won the award for Best Rap Performance to share with Anderson .Paak.
In total, 84 categories of prizes were awarded.
