With headliner André Hazes (‘Live’) and Willy Sommers, The Romeo’s, Father Abraham, Lindsay, Laura Lynn, Yves Segers, John Terra, Wim Soutaer and Charles Van Domburg, Luc Steeno, and host-presenter Kürt Rogiers, was the line-up of The pop music festival 2019 nearly complete, but in the last instance, adding the organizers and The Voice of Senior-winner John Leo to their poster.
After an exciting final it was the 67-year-old Kempenaar at the end of last year the first winner of the tv talent show. Originally, he won a single recording, but record company Universal Music has transformed it into an album. That appears in may and consists of Dutch popular music in which John Leo the support and cooperation of o.a. Will Tura, John Terra, and producer Bert Gielen. The poulain of The Voice Senior coach Walter Grootaers in addition to the record deal and the cash prize of 10,000 euros, also an invitation for The pop music festival 2019, at 29, 30, 31 march and 6 april, takes place in the Hasselt Ethias Arena.

With the John Leo Showband I have more than 50 years artists, accompanied on the podium and now I am yourself, with a live band, at the largest music festival of Flanders. Beautiful!!! Soon we sit together to the repertoire. ‘The Clown’, that I spent during The Voice’s Senior final, or ‘Lost heart, lost dream’ that I had during the Blind Auditions, sang his contenders”.
