Sister of the king of Thailand is a candidate for prime minister

Ubolratana Rajakanya, the older sister of the king of Thailand, is a candidate for the post of prime minister. They will at the elections of 24 march and advocate for the party Thai Raksa Chart, which consists of allies of former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

It is the first time in the history of Thailand that a member of the royal family becoming involved in politics.
