Daryl Impey (Mitchelton-Scott) has set Friday for the eighth time, the seventh time in a row, to South-African champion in the time trial will be crowned.
After a match about 52 km with start and arrival in Tshwane was Impey with his time of 57:46 (avg. 54,01 km/h) 1:12 faster than Stefan the Bid (Dimension Data). Louis Meintjes (Dimension Data) was third (at 1:54 of Impey on the podium.
The 34-year-old Impey is continuous national champion against the clock since 2013. His first title he picked up in 2011. Last year he was for the first time, a national champion in the road race.
Last month wrote to Impey for the second time in a row at the Tour Down Under to his name.
