The vzw Parents of a Murdered Child regrets that the Antwerp public prosecutor the broadcast of the series Cold Case on tv wants to ban. The vzw poses questions about the ban. “What may not be known? Is there maybe someone protected? Or will justice their mistake not to recognise?”, does it sound Wednesday night in a response from vzw-president Marina Maes.
“The worst thing that can happen is that your child is killed”, says Maes. “But for many years not to know who is responsible, that is inhumane. The relatives of Sally saw, after all those years of ignorance finally a ray of hope. The investigation was reopened. The documentary pertaining to will be their to answer questions. But by the broadcast ban, they want them reduced.”
According to the asbl, the Brussels court to consider the request of the public prosecutor “but one correct decision, and that is broadcast”.
