Willem van Hanegem has Monday hard criticism on the state of affairs at Feyenoord, Sunday, 2-1 down and went to Excelsior. The clubicoon find the volatility at the Locals cause for concern and emphasises again that as soon as possible, a fresh wind is needed.
The defeat at Excelsior followed exactly a week after the historic 6-2 win of Feyenoord at Ajax in The Classic. Van Hanegem will find it incomprehensible that the team of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst as quickly fell.
“The difference between the peak against Ajax and the valleys against PEC Zwolle and Excelsior is so enormously large, that it is downright infuriating”, writes the 74-year-old Van Hanegem Monday in his column in the AD. “This Team is really something wrong.”
