The British actor Johnny Flynn (‘Crusade in jeans’) will play the role of David Bowie’s voice in the Bowie biopic ‘Stardust’. That announces entertainmentmagazine The Hollywood Reporter. Flynn gets on the set, the company of colleagues, Jena Malone (‘The Hunger Games’, ‘The Neon Demon’) and Marc Maron (‘Girls’).
The biopic about the turbulent and rich life of Bowie to start at his first visit to the US in 1971, which Bowie inspired the creation of his iconic alter ego, Ziggy Stardust.
Flynn gained fame through his starring role in ‘Crusade in jeans’ (2006), the film adaptation of the eponymous novel by Thea Beckman. He was recently seen as the young Albert Einstein, the National Geographic series of ‘Genius’.
Emmy-winner Gabriel Range will sit in the regiestoel, the script is of the hand of Christopher Bell (‘The Last Czars’). The pictures go in June of this year.
