The international transfer market continues to grow. Last year, according to figures from wereldvoetbalbond FIFA for 7 billion dollars (6,13 billion) of transfers done. That is 10.3 percent more than 2017, that so far as the record level of gold.
In 2018, a total 16.533 transfers listed, against 15.657 in the previous year. Brazil is the frontrunner, both in outgoing and incoming transfers.
The five biggest leagues – England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France – gave in that order make the most money on transfers. English clubs paid alone, nearly 2 billion dollars for new players. The netherlands is on the global list, ninth with us $ 128 million spent on transfergeld.
