Ann Van den Broeck and Tinne Oltmans get starring role in ‘Flemish’ Mamma Mia!’

Ann Van den Broeck and Tinne Oltmans will be the starring voice in the Flemish version of the ABBA-hitmusical ‘Mamma Mia!’, who in 2020 will be in the Ethias Theater Hasselt and the Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen. The direction is in the hands of Stany Crets.

Ann Van den Broeck will Donna play – in the film version the role of Meryl Streep – and Tinne Oltmans takes Sophie for her account – the role of Amanda Seyfried in the film. Van den Broeck has already dozens of (main)roles played in musicals as ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Evita’. Oltmans owes its fame to the Studio 100-youth series, ‘Ghost Rockers’, but also did all musicalervaring in ‘Sleeping beauty’ and ‘Zoo of Life, the spectacle of the occasion of 175 years Zoo Antwerp.

‘Mamma Mia!’ has been around since 1999, when the musical world premiere was in London. The show runs there still, and also in different versions around the world, which in total has 60 million visitors to date. In 2008 was followed by a successful film and this year it is the sequel to ‘Mamma Mia! Here we go again’ is expected.

‘Mamma Mia!’ combines the biggest hits of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA with a humorous love story about a single mother Donna and her daughter Sophie, who is about to marry and wants to discover who her father is.
