The band makes a comeback at the Pinkpop festival

With the confirmation of the Band and Bring me the horizon, the organization can again have two beautiful names to add to the program of the 50th edition of the Pinkpop festival. The band is ten years after the farewell concert of the band for the first and only festivaloptreden back to Landgraaf. The career of the British Bring Me The Horizon goes like a rocket: the band sold more than two million albums and grew from small shows in the metalcore scene, to sold-out venues such as the Afas Live and London’s O2 Arena. Before, it was the arrival of Fleetwood Mac, Mumford & Sons, George Ezra, Tenacious D, and Now or Never winner Mt. Altas to Landgraaf. Pinkpop 2019 will be traditionally takes place at Pentecost on Saturday 8, Sunday 9 and Monday 10 June at the festival site Megaland in Landgraaf. The ticket sales of this event will start on Saturday 16 march 2019 via www.ticketmaster.nl and the well-known Ticketmaster retail locations.

Pinkpop has a special niche in the hearts of the band members of the Band. The gig at the Pinkpop festival in 2000 led to the breakthrough to the general public and also the years after, the band performed there several times. “In 2019, falling all the numbers on their place. It is ten years since the Band stopped and the Pinkpop festival, is this year 50 years. A reunion for our fortieth, how cool is that?! Let’s fucking celebrate.” says singer Jacqueline Govaert. Thanks to their doorbraakoptreden at Pinkpop festival 2000 hit the whole of the Netherlands and Belgium is addicted to the smash hit ‘I Would Stay’, which in both countries took the lead in the top of the charts, which is impressive. In the years that followed, the band released several albums and scored several big hits with o.a. ‘Out of My Bed’, ‘All My Life’ and ‘Sweet Goodbyes’. In 2009 the band decided to stop. Now, exactly 10 years later, they return for their only festivalshow this summer.
