Anderlecht seems to be his new striker almost bite to have. The Argentinian Facundo Ferreyra (27) of Benfica is on the way to Brussels for a uitleenbeurt of 18 months.
Ferreyra was last season topschutter in Ukraine, with 21 goals in 29 games, with which he Shakhtar Donetsk for the title led. The Argentine was this summer in the picture for Anderlecht but chose when eventually for Benfica. Anderlecht could not match a tekenpremie of less than 4 million euro and a brutojaarsalaris of 4.5 million euros.
Ferreyra could over the past months, however, not continue at Benfica. He started the first three league games and scored against Boavista, but then disappeared from the Argentine due back to the background. Since August, he is sitting at only two shows: a subbing of 18 minutes against Rio Ave, and 45 mins in the cup against the small Sertanense FC.
Nevertheless, it was a number of clubs in the queue to Ferreyra to take over Benfica as the Italian clubs Genoa and Sassuolo and the French Nantes.
