The three men who, in June last year, a robbery, committed on the house of darts player Raymond van Barneveld have prison sentences to two years in prison.
The men from Amsterdam have been sentenced to prison sentences of up to two years, including eight months on probation. The darter was at the time of the robbery abroad, but his wife Sylvia was home.
The penalties are a lot lower than the Public Prosecutor (OM) had demanded. That is because the court assumes that the defendants only were planning to break in and thought that no one was home. Also, the degree of violence played a role.
