Good news for fans of the more classic hip-hop: three iconic bands act will soon be working together on, and really far away candidates, not for driving. The American greats Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy and De La Soul perform under the name ‘Gods of Rap’ on Thursday 16 may at the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome.
It is no coincidence that the three hip-hop icons have just this year to jointly stage to ascend. With the concert to celebrate this godfathers of hip hop, the respective anniversaries of their famous albums.
Wu-Tang Clans debut album “Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers’ is exactly a quarter of a century, while Public Enemy’s ‘It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back” and “3 Feet High and Rising” from De La Soul is already thirty years ago on release.
The presale starts next Friday.
