The Brazilian captain Joao Zwetsch has made his selection, announced for the qualifying rounds of the Davis Cup in their own country against Belgium (1 and 2 February on the gravel).
Brazil counts with Bruno Soares (ATP 5 double) and Marcelo Melo (ATP 12 double), especially in the doubles a few crackers. Soares already has thirty dubbeltitels on his list, which this year in Sydney, with Jamie Murray. Melo showed that he is already 32 times the best. Furthermore, defend also Thiago Monteiro (ATP 107), Rogerio Dutra da Silva (ATP 139) and Thiago Seyboth Wild (ATP 451) the Brazilian colors.
Coach Johan Van Herck selected last week Arthur De Greef (ATP 202), Kimmer Coppejans (ATP 195) and dubbelspecialisten Sander Gille (ATP 83) and Joran Vliegen (ATP 86). Performers David Goffin (ATP 21) and Steve Darcis (ATP 313) are missing, just like Ruben Bemelmans (ATP 132).
The Davis Cup is starting this year in a new format cast. Eighteen countries will be in november, at the end of the season, in a tournament week in one location, competing for the title. If Belgium wins against Brazil, it has its ticket for the finals week bite. (belga)
