The Czech Petra Kvitova has Thursday as placed first for the finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne. Therein will they compete against the Japanese Naomi Osaka or against the Czech Karolina Pliskova.
Petra Kvitova (WTA 6) defeated the American Danielle Collins, no. 35, in two sets: 7-6 (7/2) 6-0.
The 28-year-old Kvitova, the 2011 and 2014 Wimbledon won, it will be in the final tomorrow against the Japanese Naomi Osaka (WTA 4) or against the Czech Karolina Pliskova (WTA 8).
Kvitova is world number 1 if she wins the tournament.
