Remco Evenepoel celebrates Sunday made its debut but the comeback of Petr Vakoc is equally special, a year after accident with truck

Accident with a truck on training

Another notable name in the selection is that of Petr Vakoc. The Czech was twelve months to the side after a truck him in training in South Africa had been hit. His companions Bob Jungels and Laurens De Plus came better from but Vakoc took some serious injuries. He broke some vertebrae and lay a long time in the hospital. The Czech missed the entire season, but after a long rehabilitation, he hopes in 2019 again.

Vakoc comes from very far, as this video proves when he the hospital was allowed to leave and immediately in his rehabilitation, wanted to start:

“I’m a little nervous”

Tuesday 29 January: Pocito – Pocito (12 km, time trial)

Wednesday 30 January: San Jose Jachal – Valle Fértil/Villa San Agustin (185.8 km)

Thursday 31 January: Rest day

Friday 1 February: San Martin, Alto Colorado (169.5 km)

Saturday, February 2: Autodromo El Villicum – Autodromo El Villicum (153.5 km)

Sunday, February 3: San Juan – San Juan (141.3 km)
